30,000 tonnes of asphalt was produced and laid during the rehabilitation of the Grand Bahamas International Airport. Working both day and night shifts in order not to affect the operational requirements of the Airport, the runway, taxiways and associated hardstands were milled out and re-laid with two layers of asphalt to FAA specification.
